Overview: This photo essay explores the question, “What do I notice during a journey that feels uncertain to me?” The ten sequential images document my first time walking alone to downtown Ann Arbor. An anxiety indicator in the bottom-right corner of each photograph marks my emotional state at the moment the image was taken.
